no, just the specific jewel. In other words, a jeweler that wants the new Med Qual and High Qual 4 races needs to have all 6 branches at 150 and have saved 1920 sp (2 mq,hq * 4 races * 40 sp * 6)

If implemented correct, this should be shown in the craftingtree.

Dear DoubleTap,

you are surely right about my inactivity here, but u are wrong regarding this patch because I did post my opinion on it. You as an old experienced member here can easy findl someone’s post, do u? (especialy with my quantity of posts lol, post is from August 22nd, 2005, 11:05 AM btw)

I was from start against this magic rebalancing, and I was hoping that Nevrax will do the good job as till now. And I am not saying that complet patch is bad, some new features are really good, but magic rebalancing is total failure imo.

Exept for the male tryker run which has been mentioned already many times everything for me seems ok but....

Tooltips, although very usefull in some instances, ie selecting tp tickets, I find that them popping up in the general interface as you play to be a little intrusive. Maybe we could be given some options on the tooltips in our config window?

trenker wrote:Oh man, sounds like a whack load of changes to learn. Not sure I fancy the hassle, may just as well try a new game for all the effort. At least then I could discover something new instead of just working to figure out changes and the undocumented uh-ohs therein.

Still, may give it all a go if I'm feeling technical, or I may just keep waiting for something actually NEW.
Well I plucked up the effort (and Im basicaly a lazy git hence the neg above) and tried the combat changes. And actually they seem very nice, as a level 128 healer I was a bit shocked to loose my double heals but very pleased with the all round rebalancing.

Im a level 181 jeweller and I just love the changes there, as it actually does appear to be something NEW which is what I am bemoaning above. Seems like the jewellery business just got more tailorable and interesting. Only probs are old jewells dont seem to have the new stats and it appears extreeeeemly difficult to get HQ in all races so bang goes our colour coding scheme!

I look forward to the rest of the community figuring out the remaining changes and filling me in when ingame, as people do.

So all in all great so far. Oh and btw, I havent played for a while and was surprised to see quiet a whack of new faces. This game has to be growing dont you think?

My main worry is that some new game is gonna have it all before Nevrax does. Man, if only the game was more complete last year, it would have rocked the MORPG world.

I am happy to read your experiences, you were always a busy homin (iirc).

As with anologies, this one is too meant to depict a situation that may or may not be so but draws a nice picture non the less.

Imagine a pond. Now imagine several boats in that pond, one is occupied by the Bliz team, one by the Nevrax people, one is occupied by Sony. One day, the Blizzard people (who were not really floating, but were still at the shore) took a few very fat men (Bill Roper anyone?) who ran from a large distance and leaped in the boat, the force and speed made it set off for the middle, making great waves, damaging theirs and other people's boats in the process.
They kept jumping up and down in their boat, but the waves they can make are getting smaller and smaller, it seems that their boat is mostly making waves by the fat men jumping up and down, not by the greatness of the boat.
Now imagine the Nevrax team, they have been working hard not to topple over from all the waves and now they have found a rythm, a rythm in which they rock. As with any boat rocking, it will have to be done with care and in harmony. Remember that when you are in synch with the waves, in harmony with your team and *you* are the one determining the rythm, the effort is so much less for the same amount of waves.

I trust SoR will make waves, all in due time. And I consider this a good boat, as I dont like the view of fat men jumping up and down anyway.

To continue this picture:

The pool is growing bigger all the time.

While this means that the boats on it may get more water to splash around in, the new shores will also mean new boats with strange nanes and architectures will be launched from there.

At the same time already now some boats are leaking like h*ll and the people on them are bailing with varying degrees of success.

I survived Patch 1. :) I'm not so sure about Episode 2.
