Currently I know the devs are probably aware of the "fullscreen" problem.
I.E. selecting Auto Detect for rendering type, will always run the application in windowed mode, even if you select Full Screen in the external configuration tool,
or in-game.
In order to get by this, you have to select either D3D or OpenGL. No problem.
Well, actually on my system there is a problem...If I select D3D so the app
remembers window size and internal window placement, the initial screens
(Log in, server select, patching, character creation and select) are severely
slow. Moving the mouse (even with hardware mouse enabled) is very choppy.
Now, before you say "GET MORE RAM", here are my system specs:
Athlon64 3400+
1GB PC3200 RAM (Corsair)
(2) 150GB SATA drives RAID
DirectX 9c
GeForceFX 5700 256MB
ForceWare 61.77
nForce Unified Drivers 5.10
Windows XP SP2 with current hotfixes (Windows Security servers disabled)
I do not have this problem with any other application that uses Direct3D rendering. It is not a heat related problem (Operating temp on my system
is roughly 111 degrees F (44 degrees Celsius) and that is with full load on processor and video. No, I don't use water cooling.
Anyway, I want to pinpoint why this happens with this application. I run many other games in windowed mode using Direct3D rendering and never experience this. SoR is the first time I've ever had this problem.
Will this be changed in the near future where game init will run fullscreen if we have it selected? If not, can this issue be looked into?
Game Init And Fullscreen/Windowed mode

Still waiting for a response on this.kierstad wrote:Currently I know the devs are probably aware of the "fullscreen" problem.
