Mounted Combat was one of the things that Dekky brought up in his post. I simply eloborated on it to show that adding new combat elements (like dekkert mentioned) didn not necessarily mean better soloing. Even adding more dmg to melee would not necessarily acheive a better solo xp.

Anyway, I stand by my opinion that solo is fine as it is. Its meant to be hard to do.

if i could kill more than 3 timari without having to sit and regen my stam/hp and self heals everytime id say solo was ok but should you really have to regen every 3 mobs that only give 1.3k exp? is that a way to lvl up? if it is im sure ill find more fun at a diff game lol

I do kill 3-4 3k mobs solo before I need to rest =p

Just have to find the right place/mob and use the right equipment =)

Btw my vote was NO

im more refering to after lvl 200 tho so if your doing 3-4 mobs at 3k each before resting when your lvl 200+ lemme know and ill go lvl where you do :)

could all people please vote on the alchemy poll too as this also affects solo lvling and im suprised at the difference in the results this poll says solo lvling needs no changes but that poll says we need potions to lower the downtime when soloing..... major solo change adding consumeable potions o.0

yes, it is a way to lvl up. Its a slow one, but it is a way.

A team of people is much quicker. and this makes sense. A solo person is one sword/caster/shooter relying on only themself and what they carry with them. The damage they do is only what one person can do as fast as possible. A team has much more firepower and healing, hence they can take bigger mobs quicker. More people = more damage.

Adding consumables might improve the situation a bit, but they would have to be regulated strongly (I'm commenting on this since you asked us to vote on both and link the two). You claim the bulk limit of 10-15 was a bit extreme, but the point of the potions isn't to make someone immune to damage. if I were to run into a group of aggro with a couple stacks of potions, whats to stop me from dying? Timers maybe. But that leads us back to the "soloing takes too long" argument since timers is part of your concerns now (self-heal, MPA, etc.)

I voted No to adjusting solo, but I voted Yes to consumables. I believe that consumables could be a great addition (and a new skill tree!), however, I think they should be even more rigidly controlled that the auras/self-heals. I see them only as a back-up to the things we have now. If an aura takes 10 mins to regen, then a potion one should take 20, IMO. After all, if the potions could do everything we could, whats the point of having the other skills. We may as well just level consumables and be done with it.

aura's were always classed as useless in beta and ever since live i still class them as useless now....

hp/stam aura's linked to mpa/mpa/warcry just isnt right you got all them auras but if you click any 1 of them you lose all of them for 30 mins.

they should have individual timers and hp/stam auras should be linkable like self heals by using 2 lower lvl ones and getting the same downtime as high lvl one

i have every aura maxed to my lvl and i can assure you the only one i ever use is mpa cause i can kill an extra mob sometimes without losing any hp when soloing

and you asked if you had a massive stack of pots and run in to a group of agro whats to stop you dying? as i said in the other post the potions should tae 3-5 secs to regen fully the ammount that they heal thats whats to stop you explioting it and if people have the money to waste chugging pots isnt that there problem? it always has been in any mmo ive ever played

lol there is no way this game will ever be individual from every other game on the market.... OMG we have mounts so do SWG and a miullion other games thats so obsurd im quitting have a nice day

come to think of it we have armour and weapons like other games and magic :o were so different =/

No.
Ryzom is team game, and thats what I like. If you are bored or can't find more ppl for the team, there is always harvest or another game. Something that needs to be changed thats melee/ranged vs elem. balance. Melee only give you extra HP and melee aura atm. There is no other reason to level it at all.
