I am just a humble digger in the Lakes, that likes to craft a bit.
I am NKoS and hope one day my dream of being SoET will come true.
I have no vested intrest in the game, finacially and am in no way related to 'Nevrax' or its employees (AFAIK).
I am not a GM or a Guide, although if I had more time I would consider it.
I just found this little game on a coverdisk .... I installed linage II 'The next big thing' at the time and played it for about 1 hr.... was so unimpressed.
I loaded Ryzom, spent about 1 or 2 months exploring starter isle (Matis). Made loads of IG friends, chatted to the GM/Guilds, asked questions ... basically took the game to pieces by playing it. Everytime I thought I had it sussed, I found something new to do, or a new/better way to do something i had already done. Its been like that ever since.... Each time I play I find that someone knows a little piece of the puzzle that when I add it to what I already know the world changes, just a little.
I have seen many players come and go, I have good friends that I see at all the silly times of day that I play, its very rare that I am 'alone' in game and even when I try and hide, someone always seems to find me. (Guess I like being found to much.)
Its a different world, one in which you can actually make a difference to another players enjoyment.
As everthing in game can be obtained when you know how.... I attach very little to things or dapper. I know how to make 1 mill dappers in about 30 mins to 1 hour ... so I don't need dapper. I have helped many people when they started out, that they tend to remember me when they are famous, yep I have been out leveled by loads of people, even ones that started long after I did.
Its sometimes hard to be positive all the time and trust me, I have done some bad things and hurt people I care about IG ofcouse.
I like the roleplay aspect and tend to 'stay in character' as much as possible, however as Neun is based on the 'perfect' me, with non of my real life failings... its not that hard. (I would give my last pound to someone who I thought needed it more than I did, no beggers please)
So there you go, I am passionate about the game because they are a little guy that has big ideas and have done something 'different'. I am passionate about the community, cas even the 'bad ones' have good points
Guess after playing games for 20+ years you know when you have found something worth a bit of extra time and effort, so far they (Nervax) have kept to their side of the bargin and delivered ... Yes its been rough the last 2 months ... but I can see the efforts of their labours.
As of David, I like his story ... its different, its refeshing and even if some of my guesses on where its going are right .... it will still be fun to see it through to the end
