Just dropped on site to see how ur guys doing and reading this thread was quite interesting.

1. IRL when u buy from a crafter (factory) and sell the goods to the customers you have to pay taxes. Factory knows that and IF they want you to be their reseller, they are giving you a discount. Same applies here. If players wants to become reselers, they should talk to the crafter, to make a trade agreement (I sell you full HP sets q250 at 500k/set, but you have to resell it only at 750k and only in Thessos)
2. If are smugglers around, the punishment is simple. The crafter should overload the market with hi-q / low price goods. In this way no one will buy from the smugglers. If you see at NPC, 80 diadems q250 at 1 mill dappers/piece and 100 diadems q250 at 100k/piece... what would you buy? At a certain moment, the offer will become bigger than the demand and the smugglers will be screwed.
3. And for the players: if you really want to help Haddo, who helped many of you with his hi-q jewels, just check the crafter when you buy jewels. If appears the seller and the crafter are not the same...

Agree with Vetuscu that the best, and likely the only, way to stop reselling is to flood the market and thereby remove the need for ppl to buy from the lazy few who "earn" their dappers by hijacking the market and forcing the rest of us to feed their greed.

The rl market economy argument is flawed to my mind. Firstly, as this is a game, not rl, and the purpose of a game is to have fun. If dappers could pay for therapy for those among us who think amassing virtual money is important there might be some point to amassing it lol, but ff let's get sane, it's a GAME and ain't no amount of virtual money or virtual objects gonna fix whatever it is that drives the Muds and Munkies to make it a bit less fun for the rest of us! The middle man argument is also flawed as in rl the middle man actually DOES something. He doesn't stand in a shop to which the goods have already been distributed and collect a cut on the shop's sales, and were he to, he would be arrested for attempted theft.

The all ppl/crafters have more dappers than they know what to do with argument/rationalisation is also a crock. I have a craft skill at L175, am often down to 30k - no 0s missing there, and have just taken up jewel craft because it is hard for me to afford even Haddo's prices - my craft would be L200 or higher were it not for the money I spend on jewels as it is money I can't spend on mats to help me level (y I am always broke). So u make the game less fun for me Mud and Munkie, and I am sure I am not the only player for whom this is true. Is complete BS you are not hurting anyone with your mindless greed.

I can't yet dig 250, but if I could I would be supplying Haddo with mats, cleaning out my packers so I could stock the vendor in the Australian time zone, and giving Haddo the money from sales. I can't do this, but there are many who can, and I encourage you to if Haddo would like to pursue this course.

Since only jewlery I found yesterday saying q250 hp bonus were a haddo resale by mudd, i searched other markeds than Dyron. And right there, in Natae, i found Loomas q200 at a reasonable price. Sure, it lacks some hp, but that doesnt really matter much to me anyways.

I guess Loomas is doing as everyone else right now, grinding levels! So, I see hope, if not he falls for greed or boredom.

Thanks for the plug filtern :)

I am only only selling in matis now. I tried to keep some stock in Dyron for the last week but it was a PITA to keep stock in two places.

BTW greed is what keeps us jewelers going...greed for more stats boosts :P
