Haddo Retires from Jewelry Bus.

Post by haddo »

Yup. That's right. My jewelry making days are over. I'm not getting xp foraging and haven't been for a while. Now I'm not getting xp making jewels, so there's no point any more. It's time to move on to other things.

So the up and coming jewelers have an open market again.

And before you ask, no I won't make sets from mats. I would just spend all my time making jewelry still and it wouldn't open things up for other jewelers.

And another before you ask, the resellers business had nothing to do with my decision. As I said (and kept saying) that is a buyers problem, not a sellers problem.

If was fun trying to keep the server supplied with jewels, but it isn't fun anymore. :(

So good luck all.

Well when you you first appeared it put me out of business. However, the time-off has taught me that jewellery grinding just sucks, so I shan't be up and coming. So a big thank you (no sarcasm) for saving me the tediousness of it all.

So ironically, as no doubt many a post after this will say, I will miss yer jewels.

On a personal (IC) note, while I understand you aint retiring cos of resellers, I do feel that perhaps the lengthy discussions about it probably dented your enthusiasm and being (from what I can tell) a gentle homin, probably knocked the wind out of your sails. If this is so, then my appologies for any roughness from my part.

Awww, buggery... :( I've been very much enjoying a much-needed respite from the digs and the jewel-wappin', but sounds like I'd best get back to it now.

I'm sorry to see you retire your jeweling mallet, Haddo. As I've mentioned in other threads, you were my original inspiration for getting into this business. I had thought I'd beat you to 250q, but I was quickly proven sadly mistaken ;) It will be a long, long, time before I am nearly as capable as you are at producing jewels in quantity (still with 5% success on all but diadem), but I will do what I can to at least fill a couple of toes' worth of your very big shoes.

And hey! Hope to see you out there hunting - it's a blast! :)

Good luck to you Haddo, and a big 'thank you' for supplying jewels to Atys for this long. :)

Cool, I must be a mind reader, I just bought 2 full spare sets of patented Haddo jewellery. I don't suppose those up and coming could up and come a bit faster i do quite a large amount of fighting. Sad to see you retire from it Haddo i greatly respected your fair prices and the way there were always jewels to be bought at the merchant. Hope you enjoy your other adventures in the game. (looks around nervously, then rushes of to buy a third set)
