This is related to a basic rule for Ryzom : the ones you can attack are the ones that can attack you - it can be either an NPC or a player, the rule is the same. Regarding roaming NPCs, like the guards, the fact that you can't attack them (and that they can't attack you) was designed to avoid unnecessary mistakes - it would just be too easy to die by clicking at the wrong place when you're not watching.

This could be changed for some NPCs in the future : fame will be reworked, and some NPCs (like guards or Kami/Karavan agents) may become less friendly to those who are standing against them.
A great answer, although I must not have been clear.

Can you explain why roaming NPC tribes that are attackable by me do not draw aggro from the creatures of Atys?

do you have any plans to allow the roaming tribe groups to interact fully with the enviroment? ie fight off carnavoires and also attack players who have -80 fame with them?

would make things a whole lot more interesting and give some additional meaning to the fame system.

Little, but important question:

What is the respawn rate of supreme bosses (the two big star ones with minions)? It doesn't seem to be a fixed time frame, but they all seem to respawn at a specific date/time. Considering we all play in different timezones, this can give a certain timezone an advantage over the other. Am I correct or am I mistaken here?

Have a couple of questions:

1) What happens to our questions that are not picked by the CM to give to you? Are they qued on a list somewhere and will eventually get submitted at a latter date, or do we have to resubmit our questions again?

2) Once in a while, I will see the floating numbers (green, blue, red, yellow, white, that can be positive valued or negative valued) above my character's head. These are fairly large numbers, and about the only thing I could decern from them is that these are geographically linked somehow. What do these numbers represent, as they are not annotated in the System window, and what do the colors signify if any? (oh, and these are not hits from ranged attacks)

Hey now. I have to deal with those wanderers extremely often (they regularly pass right over top of me while I am digging), and the only tribes I have -80 or greater with are those that I recieved fame for them in the first place due to *bugged* mission givers. It's bad enough that I'm stuck with fame I would not have taken if I'd known in advance that those givers gave fame that was in no way siginified, don't give them ideas to punish me further.

They/you want to make the wanderers kill us as well as the tribe they are attached to, they can offer to fix fame recieved through bugs too.

To start an rite mission we need 34 global fame with matis/zorai/tryker/fyros. There are atm no working Karavan/Kami rite missions. Will they also need 34 global fame in order to start? If so, how can "neutral" players start those rite missions?

I'd also like to know the answer to this, but that's not the only lack of aggro behavior that puzzles me:
Why do the predators of Atys not attack bandit NPCs or primitives (gibbai/cutes/frahars)?
Why do the herbivores that display social behavior (teaming up against you if you attack one of them) only display this behavior against players and not against predators?
Why do kitin soldiers only attack herbivores, and not predators, primitives, or even bandit NPCs? Aren't they supposed to be "a terror to all fauna living within its vicinity"?

As it is now kitins, predators, primitives and bandits all peacefully live next to each other, only to collectively attack any player that comes near. It's as if everything dangerous out there is part of an alliance to destroy hominkind.

LOL. They have positive fame regarding the predators.

/joke off

Because would be too easy for players to pull predators to predators, to watch the fight then to kill the weakened winner.
