BAH!! crap.Unregistered wrote:This game has awful support anyway, there's only a 50/50 chance you'll even get to play it.
I play it as and when I want, apart from this very short period for a patch!!
As for competition, what else are you going to play?
I played WoW, and its a good game. (stress test beta). But it has its short comings just like all MMO's.
It is NOWHERE near Ryzom visually, and content wise, well they are both about the same at this early stage of my playing.
As for EQ2. Well it doesnt have PvP. It doesnt have a persistent online world, its zone based. SOE develop it, and all they are interested in is marketing, not a quality product (just look at the LOE, and PC Gamer 10,000 beta invites, enuff said.) They forget the community thats been following it since it was announced. Those who signed up for beta, are the forgotten thousands.......
Ryzom isnt dumbed down like WoW or EQ2. You get to spec your skills and stats. I like that, alot.
Its a little different to the rest, as in its not true D&D, but maybe thats a breath of fresh air right now.
Its a seriously good game.
You will enjoy this game. I reckon its going to be better than WoW and EQ2 when they eventually turn up.
It wont have the following as its not been marketed as aggresively, but I dont even have to think about the competition when Im enjoying Ryzom.
Its a mental game, and unique. better ideas than the rest, and a great engine and server stability to boot.
content is fine right now. they all go thin at higher levels.
Ryzom...... GIVE IT A GO......
