has any Checked the inactive tps???
Re: has any Checked the inactive tps???
You can get to Void (on EE) very safely, either travel from Cities of Intuition, or from the Maiden Grove kami shrine.

same on windmere, was just saying that there is no TP in void and the closest one was in HoP which is not really something you can really travel through.magick1 wrote:You can get to Void (on EE) very safely, either travel from Cities of Intuition, or from the Maiden Grove kami shrine.

Well thats a great thought. Maby they did just change their minds. Maby they changed their minds about it so much their still not sure so they left it in the online manual. Yeah thats it. Yup That sound good. Lets just say thats what their doing. And lets see is there anything else we should pretend their doing since they never say anything even after they do it.
Come on are you freakin kidding me. Where the heck did you come up with that. You gotta be trying to mess with me because you cant beleive that they changed their minds after printing or 12,000 dappers is hard to come by.

Maybe they "changed there minds" about outpost.....
If they did that about outpost would you be as chill about it.

Ya know. I've given this a lot of thought. Well I just think about it when im watching my char laying there sucking dust. So I guess that would be alot.
Anyway I dont think the dp pacts are a bad idea. Its just a matter of spawn point placement. When you play regular box or pc games, unlike mmorpg's, you have to start over at some point in the game when you die. This is a big deterant to dyeing. Unless Im wrong there have been some very popular games set up like that.
Because there is a skill progression and no end to mmorpg's some one thought it would be a great idea to throw in a progession penalty on top of the spawn point penalty. This is not a horrable idea but its not realy nessesary all the time.
Now with that said lets look at the possably way you can get dp with the pacts working properly.
1. You run out of dapper. Kind of puts some more value in mats and who gets them in a hunt.
2. You dont have a ticket near by. That'll learn ya.
3. The closest spawn has no tickets. Who wants to run though the agro again to get back where you were. ooooo Thats fun.
Then you have the plus side.
1. Foragers can be more careless. And less rich.
2. Hunting would be better. There would be less complaining about getting the DP.
3. Exploring would be alot more fun. And cost a bit more.
4. You have a choice when you die. Spend the dapper or spend the dp points.
You see its not the same as no DP. Its differant. It changes the way you play. It gives you a reason to forage. It puts the dapper back into the system. It would be alot more fun which is the point of playing a game.
Rysom is a game like no other. Why does it have to follow rules laid down by other games.
Thanks for asking Ive been wanting to say this for a while.
Ps. Sorry about the other reply. You caught me at a bad time. I could have been alot nicer.
Re: has any Checked the inactive tps???
Aye, the HoP shrine really needs fixing (terrain problem), I have send more tickets about stuck up there and requests for a fix, that I want to count.tetra wrote:same on windmere, was just saying that there is no TP in void and the closest one was in HoP which is not really something you can really travel through.
The HoP shrine is only useful if you (solo that is) have a reasonable speed and/or invulnerbility, and you can get help from either the CET or MOG camps.

Seconded. I like these ideas. And wanted to emphasise that last point. In fact, I believe that very point is vital to SoR's survival in the MMORPG market. If it goes the clone route, it will die.
Oops, sorry, i got off topic too.

Re: has any Checked the inactive tps???
Allright jack, think about this.
A level 50 fighter died and get 5000 dp. Cost of ticket to avoid dp? $10k.
A level 250 fighter died and get 500,000 dp. Cost of ticket to avoid dp? $10k.
So you see how that's stacked against the lowbies new players? How unfair it is?
Now if we want monetaries exchange for dp, it might make more sense to have a one-to-one correlation for any lvl. e.g. 10 daps per dp. You can go to a kami or karavan "dp remover" to spend daps on dp.
The tickets to "teleport out of death" is just a bad idea and I think Nevrax decided to scrap it.
