jfoxp - back off, you don't know what my job is or what i do, or what i know how to do, I have written games, and do write some, not mmo's, and its all the same conceptial programming regardless, and yes, it is poor managment of coders to concentrate them on junk instead of fixing bug issues, implimenting features that were supposed to be available since release (aka: OUTPOSTS) etc.

**********************************************

I agree, it could be some form of 'Aye Aye Sir' slang, just like 1D10T is idiot.

kk = OK
ic = I See
ty = thank you
wc = welcome

I have seen a few other 2 letter ones roaming around, can't remember them off hand.
For those who know about today, I have a supprise for you tomorrow.

Look, I don't want to argue about what your job is. But, if you really have done work on any sort of game, you'd understand the part of my point which you are entirely ignoring.

It doesn't require an entire team of developers to concentrate on the emote system just to add a few emotes. It takes one person 5 minutes time, at most.

As for my issue with you bashing the devs... It's because I look at a hundred games over the last 6 years, and see nothing but people complaining. Sure, these development teams get paid to do this. But I bet that they do more than they're paid for. Most do. I can't count the number of .plans, or more recently, blogs, that I've read from developers where they've mentioned staying late, working off the clock, and even working through the night. Put yourself in their shoes when bashing them, and think how you'd feel when you pour your time into something, and have people who are ungrateful for what they *DO* have, bash you for something that hasn't come through yet.

I really don't want to argue with you any longer. I just want you to quit bashing the devs. I really didn't want to argue with you in the first place. It's just that, complaining about the addition of an emote is a really weak comparison against something larger and infinitely more complex. We're talking about plugging a few words into an already done system, compared to an entire system with quite a bit more code, balance, and other things involved.

So kk is an abbreviation for ok? People are abbreviating a two letter abbreviation with a different two letter abbreviation? Some please tell me this isn't so!

fox -
just another pointless feature to take the time away from real programming, thats about it MEANING: They can use the devs time for something REAL

I am on there side of things, just not with there company, and yes, its pointless coding, or rather, bad management of coders (not the coders themself, I blame it on management)

Where does it say I am bashing the devs, I stated I blame management. Read (part in parcel to the whole Jini gig is reading), nothing worse than someone just wanting to start something over nothing they understand that is being said.

This is a thorn in all of the players side since the release of the game.

I am done with this. It totally pointless to try to debate with someone who can't get the start of it correct.

Yea they did OK to kk.. gofigure, kinda funny.

gj = good job

Dangit I had about 10 to type in, and my train of thought got derailed.

Alright, I'll drop it, and apologize, but you're still ignoring part of my point, which applies whether it's a management decision or not. ;)

Sorry I ruffled your feathers.

ty -thank you (i've even seen 10x used for the maining of thanks)
gj - good job
wb - welcome back
mt - miss tell (see it all the time in this game :P never before :) )
kk - OK (I c it more as habit. I use it now because i have become used to it :P The people I chatted with used it a lot and it just became normal i guess. I used to not use many smilies either. But you look at some of what I type and it will have a smilie almost where every puncuation should be. That is the most I can get out of it)
afk - away from keyboard
afaik - as far as i know
ttyl - talk to you later
tc - take care
bbl - be back later

Basically there are hundreds of them and I use them all the time. Just look at the context of how they are used and you can figure most out :)

ahhhhh... stop the flames! This was getting good! Go ahead an post of those abbreviations and other little cybet slang you can think of especially those that are used in game. With their meanings of course! Unless you dont know them, then ask what it means!
In response to the ignorant players out there:

I have more heart than anyone would know :) I will let you in on a little secret... I am doing this for my newborn daughter... no one else... I like that game, but I do not have the time anymore. My first priority is to my daughter. End of story.
