I'm somewhat disappointed in the contest question tonight. I, and many others, expected this to have something to do with the game lore - no matter how slight. In actuality, it was just a fancified word problem that was easily (to me anyway) understood.
I was hoping this would make people interested in the game lore, but in reality anybody that is capable of understanding and deducing word problems quickly could have answered that question. I knew the answer before the question was asked, but I didn't submit it. I'm not kidding on either account, I even think I told my guild mates I had no intention of actually trying the first night.
At any rate, I am making a plea that this contest have something to do with Ryzom. Not just to increase those that actually know the history, but to reward those that give a crap about it.
I really don't care if the leader of the Silt Sculptors painted his mother on a vase. -_-

I have to agree. The question tonight shouldn't of been able to of been answered unless you knew the game lore. This contest is a wonderful opportunity to pull people into the game story, don't mess it up.
Re: disappointed in the contest...
When I heard the result of the contest, I had the exact thoughts you expressed. I thought this event would encourage people to brush on the lore and maybe realise how fun roleplaying would be... Disappointed to say the least.
Re: disappointed in the contest...
yes, agreed.... I was actually thinking where to look for the mothers *actual name* at least
Re: disappointed in the contest...
Ok, I am a wee bit confused here.... complaints about a contest where some nice prizes are being given. Perhaps I missed something. Please explain exactly what the real issue is.

The real issue. There is a story to this game, the devs REALLY want this story to be part of the game - this is evident in the events that are distinctly Kami v. Karavan and homin v. Kitin. They put in the Encyclopedia where we do missions to learn more about the story.
Basically, everything we do in the game, the POINT of the game is its story - and yet many if not most players have no desire to get into it. Now, there is an opportunity to get players interested in the story with these wonderful prizes and we are left with a question that would be better suited on tests they give in High School or first level SAT questions.
Another thing, there's a free 14 trial here and the players with that 14 day trial don't have to do a darned thing to win except be smart.
This could have been a brilliant ploy to help players get involved in the story - the point of the game - and it did not do so.
This may be a "starter" question just to get things going, and I will be perfectly fine not winning anything at all if the rest of the questions are related in some manner to the game.

I had that thought as well, some time after the question was asked though. I thought to myself, they couldn't have made it *THAT* easy! So, I searched the history and lore pages, hoping that Mrs. Breggan was important enough to be remembered.

Which one of the Mrs. Breggan 's, aren't there like 50 of them?

Re: disappointed in the contest...
On a totally unrelated note, Neiana why are you lurking on the forums and not in-game? I want to talk to you about a matter, but you have disabled PMs.
