Enchanted item bug

Post by oosarlik »

I reported this bug last night, hope they fix it soon. Basically when you put a spell crystal on a weapon to enchant it and then charge up the weapon's sap pool with sap crystals you should be good to go. But when hitting the use enchantment button it removes sap from my pool AND the weapon's pool. Also even if the weapon is fully charged but my sap pool is out it wont let you use the enchantment. The enchantment should only be looking at the weapon's sap, not mine.

That is not the way enchantments work... the way you described is the intended way... good or bad

Aye if you read the descriptions of the spells, it is SUPPOSED to take from your pool as well as the weapons.

Yeah, read in the book when it explains enchantments. It says it plain and simple in black and white, enchantments take from both sap pools.

if you pay for the crystalized spell with time credits then it won't use your sap and the delay will be recharge for the item instead of charge.

Hey! Thats a great idea for certain spells that you only need to use once in a while on a weapon. Thanks for the tip.

As I understand it the main advantage lies in the fact that you can give melee weapons 1m ranged spells that are either very fast or very cheap.

In my case I wil enchant my ranged weapon as my magic skills come down to acid 2 and 100 sap. But that will be sufficient to enchant and therefore fire my rifle for 44 dmg prior to using up valuable ammo.

I am not sure if thats the way its meant to work but it will quite a howl at higher lvls when I can put a LONG range and HUGE damage spell into my rifle just to pull the mobs into gun range :D after all I just need one blast every 30 secs and with the sap crystals it should work a long time before I run out of sap :D

All item enchantments have a 1 or 0s cast time, the delay gets put on the recharge (after the cast) instead of the charge (before the cast). Plus you can level magic with an enchanted item if you don't have any magic packs just like you can level fight with your mage stick.
