well i'm expecting nothing you are totally FREE to do what you want. How hard can it be an op that produces cats and op mats, It's an pvp reward that alot of guilds like to share with other ppl that wanna use them. it's saying nowhere that you have to use cat's, heck i've done a melee master totally ...

you forgot something: you are FREE to att an op at anytime to get your own cats so you don't have to ask (what you call "begg") for them, so it's really up to you what you do cats or no cats.

cat's are part of the game and the only reason ppl have pvp ingame removing cat's and just double xp would mean no reason to pvp anymore, so the whole political system ingame would come to a halt. If there isn't anything to fight for then there isn't anything to do anymore just mindless grinding ...

I don't think open source means private servers for instance all games that have a private server running aren't open source (except for some games). they posted on their blog that they don't share any world data or level data so all that would have to be rewritten to make a private server for ryzom ...
