yeah i just used rogue as an example from wow because they kill so fast. Basically I'm looking to kill things as quick as possible, I'm bored with tanking, and I'm not into ranged or magic.

I just re-installed and same thing. Is there an issue maybe with using the DVI output on my vid card instead of vga? Or how about running 64bit windows?

You don't want to edit the client_default.cfg file, but the client.cfg file instead. Otherwise the patcher throws a checksum error which might be the cause of the access violation... The game requires minimum 1024x768 resolution to launch. Anything less in either dimension will cause things to fail.
