Re: Ryzom on a laptop?
What kind of video chipset does it have? ATI or nVidia? If you have an ATI make sure you use DirectX rendering. nVidia should be good with either DirectX or OpenGL. I have a Compaq laptop that runs Ryzom just fine. It has an Athlon 64 3200+, 1.256GB RAM, and an ATI Radeon xpress 200M video card with ...

Re: GRAPHICS CARDS
I've had both of those cards. DO NOT buy an MX4000. It is in fact a GeForce4 that has only been made an 8x card (GeForce were only 4x..but the performance on the MX4000 didn't really improve any over the GeForce4 4x if you ask me). The FX5200 is a decent card, although still a bargin card. I am ...

Re: Choppy, Stuttering Gameplay
I wouldn't run Ryzom with less than 1GB Ram. That might be the problem on the first system you listed. What kind of video card and how much ram does the video card have? I play on a laptop that has an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M w/128MB RAM. It also has a Athlon 64 3200+. For Ryzom to run fairly smooth ...

Re: tried everything, still getting can't create a window message
I recently bought a Compaq laptop (R4000 series) and was able to get SoR to work. Here's my hardware: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 768 MB DDR333 ATI R200 Graphics Chip w/128MB dedicated RAM Even with this decent laptop, I had performance issues. I ended up haveing to add more RAM (started with 512MB), turned ...

Re: When did you start playing Ryzom?
I was looking for a game engine and came across NeL, which led me to Ryzom. I played to Open beta, then bought the game when it released and played for a few months. I quit when WoW came out, but quit wow after about two months and am back in Ryzom about 4 months ago. I just paid for another quarter ...

Willl Ryzom work on this?
I'm going away for about two weeks and need my Ryzom fix while I'm away. The laptop I have available to me has this setup: P4 1.8 Ghz 256 MBs DDR333 ATI Radeon 9000 w/32 MB video ram I know this is below the recommend specs (which is 2GHz, 512MB, and 64 MB video). What are my chances of getting ...

Re: "Please Wait" Box that won't go away
It's not my connection. It must be breaking somewhere between me and the server. But still, why own't it eventually reconnect when it picks up the sync again? It's really starting to bug me....grr....
