Re: Tried SoR a year ago, wondering how it's changed since then
Just an update; the install from CD didn't work as expected, and after about an hour with the helpful folks on Klient, we decided that the best course would be for me to go ahead and download the new install. I forgot to mention my CDs were over a year old, maybe even the original game install CDs ...

Re: Some gameplay questions from a beginner!
If I remember correctly, Fight branches off into 1h melee, 2h melee and ranged at some point (20 or 50, one of those, I think). You can use Fight skill points to buy both the stat upgrades and the combat moves eventually. If you plan to focus on one specific weapon, for example, you can level a ...

Re: Environment Question
Nope there aren´t. It seems this developmant has taken place in quite a similar fashion on Arispotle too. :D But the significant question remains. Were they moved by patch, or by the A.I. as a reaction on the continous hunting/harvesting. I´d hoped that if it´d been different it would have been a cl ...

Re: Tried SoR a year ago, wondering how it's changed since then
They are useful las the improve stats or give you new skills, but unfortnatly hardly any seem to be completed and there are only a handfull for harvesters/crafters and none for fighters/mages Well, considering my old character has some skill in both harvesting and crafting, those might be worth ...

Re: Tried SoR a year ago, wondering how it's changed since then
They are like segments required for rites where a rite = about 4 or 5 missions tied together. I meant that you should do them as soon as you can if you wanna enjoy them. If you do thema t a higher level they will feel less challenging. So, they might be more satisfying when done by a newly arrived ...

Re: Tried SoR a year ago, wondering how it's changed since then
Hmm, so, downloading 330Mb of patches might take less time than downloading a 1.5Gb executable....karmelit wrote:I would use the two old CD's. Well I did anyway here just over a week ago, when I had a hard-disc faliure. The patches to download was at 330MB+![]()
And welcome back to Atys
And thanks

Re: Tried SoR a year ago, wondering how it's changed since then
the questing here is still kinda basic. We do have some rites that you can do though for amber cubes etc. I would recommend doing them as soon as you can. Its more of a challenge at a lower level. Being at level 250 now makes questing kinda easy generally speaking I've seen amber cubes mentioned ...

Re: Extracting 2 sorces in 1 prospection
There's one thing I haven't seen mentioned in this thread; wearing focus bonus gear. It can make a great deal of difference in how long you can forage before having to self-heal or just sit down and rest. After hearing all this advice, I'm thinking of reviving my old character and trying some of it ...

Re: Tried SoR a year ago, wondering how it's changed since then
Another question (boy, can I ask 'em, huh? *hehehe*): Would it be worthwhile to do quests? In other games, I rather enjoyed doing that, as much for the reward as for the intriguing story. On my old character, I didn't do very many, as they seemed to be too simple. What kind of lore can I look for ...

Re: Newbie recruiting
*coughs* In a game I used to play, a guild could invite a member only if the recruiting member was in the same zone. Perhaps something like that would be good to do here? I think the guild invites should be kept off of the noob islands, although recruiting can go on, in terms of alts meeting noobs ...
