Ryzom

I'm a total noob to this game. I was wondering - I hear a lot of talk about mats and I know that they're crafted, but what do they do? Why would I want to buy one from a crafter?

Does the SOR staff have any suggestion to help? If no solution is currently available, is a solution planned for a patch in the near future?

I have a Dell computer which has its speakers' volume control on the keyboard. This volume control works reliably except when I'm in Ryzom. Then it seems to have no effect. I like to turn my speakers down - or even mute them, as needed.

Any advice?

I was surprised to learn that alt-tab doesn't work - especially because in other games as long as your in-game graphic resolution is lower than your computer resolution you should be able to. Does it work for anyone else? I'm wondering whether this is graphics card related. I have a 256 ATI9800XT.

Is anyone from AC2 - Thistledown (formerly Morningthaw) playing here who knew me? It would be nice to see you in-game. I'm playing on Windermeer.

I'd like to play Ryzom in a Windows mode. If I go into graphics and uncheck full screen, I see the game in a Window, but the cursor does not pass out of the playing area, so I cannot maximize the window, or click outside the program.

How can I play in Windows mode and maximize that window?
