Re: is Ranged melee any good?

I guess I'll just leave it alone until it's revamped--though the ranged elitists in that thread seem to pride their 'skill' of running in circles so I imagine there would be an outcry it it were changed too much. Oh well. I don't think anyone implied that it takes 'skill' to run in a circle... well ...

Re: is Ranged melee any good?

If your just standing there, uh yeah your gonna get mauled. You can run and shoot... I recommend nice big circles. Study the different critters ... some run much slower then others. Early levels of gunnery can be dis-heartening. Like the other skills it does get better. By no means is my character a ...

You can backup your markers when your system isn't in a snit. Might save some work.

Re: A beginners questions

I think most people specialize in one tree but also work the other trees. I have seen some advicate specializing in one branch of each tree. Sticking with 1 branch per tree advances the chosen skills to 250 quicker then doing whatever you like. If you already know what skills you want to use the ...

Re: Why the Pumpkins?

In pretty much every online game I've played there has been an inclusion of real world holidays into the game world. Do they ever fit? No. But ... most people enjoy the event(s) and it is something that the player (not character) relates to and is in their thoughts and conversation. I would suggest ...

Re: Does Race Matter?

I'm pretty sure running isn't ping based but rather cpu driven.

I've two systems on the same connection (cable). Prior to upgrading one of them, characters ran at the same speed.

Re: Are there potions or food?

Actually there is another consumable ... flowers. There are different types that boost your stats (con, int, str, and dex) for an hour. These are produced only at outposts currently. If you die you lose the effect and you still have to wait the rest of the hour before you can consume another. edit ...

Re: A new player's experience with the trial

I suspect its your less-than-spectacular machine causing the loss of animations and problem with alt-tabbing. On my less-then-spectacular machine I can alt-tab (assuming something is already open) but the screen doesn't display proper. On my wifes new pc (spectacular) with everything cranked to max ...

Re: Production: Fame & Autolauncher Titles

I would also like to see multiple choices for titles ie kami initiate, kami follower, ect instead of just kami disciple. The question I think is, does it do harm to offer titles that cover a range of involvement - including neutrality? Homin is not neutral specific - it says what they are, not their ...

Re: [Arispotle & Cho] Random outpost idea.

R2 in an of itself is not content but a means to content.

I suspect once the rest of it is released we'll see more (content) from it.
