Re: [News] Update on the current situation
For more information about Xavier's post, you can find it here: http://www.ryzom.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=6238#6238 And replying to maccer16... well, it is indeed a very different philosophy, with pros and cons, obviously. A new company taking over ryzom is really a good option, but open sourcing ...

Re: free ryzom?
keithlan, kaetemi, jezabel, please don't post further on this thread. There's no point on keeping up this dialectic war, now reduced to a pile of misunderstandings by both parts. When I started to post here, my aim was to answer any questions regarding the project, and that's what we've mostly done ...

Re: free ryzom?
Ummax, I think I've always tried to politely answer any questions made here, and update from time to time with fresh news as they reach us at ryzom.org. I'd like to know if I have ever been as rude or impolite as you in any single post (here or wherever). I suppose the main difference between our ...

Re: Xavier's still at it :)
On a side note, just out of curiosity, (do not consider this anything else but unfounded, unreliable, unverified rumors) do you have any views / opinions / previous experience about Gameforge? http://www.gameforge.de/company/7,0,0,0,2.html Is this company interested in buying Tha Saga of Ryzom ...

Re: Xavier's still at it :)
Well, what you say is right, some people don't like to compulsorily use propietary technologies, but that wouldn't be the case, since you can give the user to compile directx support out on linux, and same for EAX... after all, you're free (not as in free beer, but as in freedom) to play with the ...

Re: Xavier's still at it :)
Just as a side note for those who might be interested in the ryzom.org alternative.. Yesterday night, on an urgent meeting, the Free Software Foundation ( http://www.fsf.org ), the most important entity in the Free Software world, is now supporting the "Free Ryzom Campaign" and has made a donation ...
