If you stop the process and restart then a lot of the application is still in RAM. This stuff definitely looks like video initialisation problems. Delete you log.log and client.log files and start the game fresh. Once the game starts and hangs please exit. Then send the logs to support-ee@ryzom.com ...

You didn't say that you tried using Direct3D mode for Ryzom. If you have, try some of the following You may have some corrupt files in the SAVE folder.
