And here we see why there is such a demand for gear...and no one to fill the demand. There are three times the number of warrior ONLY players than there are forager/crafter players...how can two or three players in ONE region supply the needs of 20 to 30 warrior, mage or warrior/mage players ...

Forget Horizons. Give Ryzom the chance or don't based on what you see from Nevrax. There no relationship between the two games other than genre. No relationship between the two companies. I know in my case I don't group all that often becuase I'm usually doing missions to work on increasing my Kami faction. And since they haven't fixed the bug where you get mission credit for kills in groups, I have to play solo to get anything done. I get credit for mission kills in a group every ...

Maybe not so minor, when someone is training aggressive mobs to the guards to get them off the resources those mobs will stop and attack a harvester, someone afk, basically anyone between them and the kiter. Not fun to be on the receiving end of a train.

I've gained a number of levels and skills in foraging since my first post here. Agreed, the trick is watching the mode. If it comes up anything other than 1 or 0 I click again. Unfortunately, if it takes more than one click to get a more friendly mode I get less than max materials, my source time ...

Little gunshy from Horizons, eh? It's ok, we all are... all of us who stuck it out with them. There are big differences, though. This is month 1, not month 10, for starters. I've seen rollbacks in several games. Ideally for exploits only the exploiter is rolled back (and suspended), other times, other places I've seen different actions. Thanks for all the good tips. I've learned a bit and don't die too often now and can keep from depleting an area for longer periods of time. I do use the "harvester butt plant" a lot, sometimes to prevent a depletion or explosion, other times when I know resource number or quality will not go up and ...
