Um, what MMORPG has ever died? PRE-Ulimtia Online games are still going. For instance, I bought The Realm 7 or 8 years ago and people still play it. My plans have been foiled... at least partially.
It appears that you cannot use mats from one area (the desert for instance) to craft armor/weapons belonging to another (zorai for instance).
The reasoning for that is beyond me but it is what it is.
