What a great thread. The Kami have always struck me as rather like Atys' immune system grown sentient. They seem to be trying to maintain a sort of ecological balance on the planet to keep it healthy and allow it to grow/mature/evolve. I'm not so sure about the Karavan. They seem more like humanity ...
