I have just downloaded the free trial and when I start the game it is in a windowed mode. Near the bottom I try change the resolution but it will not set to whatever I select. I need to ...

I have just downloaded the trial and when I start the game it is in a windowed mode. Near the bottom I try change the resolution but it will not set to whatever I select. I need to maximise the screen and set it to higher resolution. Please someone I need a bit of help. Not a very impressive start.
