Im getting realy confused by the armors and seeing what armors i should use.

Lets say i have 2 boots
#1:
Protection 15%
slash: 0
blunt: 0
piercing: 0

#2
Protection 10%
slash: 3
blunt: 2
piercing: 2


What should i be using???
im haveing trubbel find it in the game
