sorry to state the obvious, but didnt you wonder why it was asking for card details? This I thought would be simply to ensure that the Free trial offer wouldn't be misused. Keeping it simple, you didn't read the contract you were entering. Now your saying its the companies fault that you were charged, where as in fact they provided you with the service you requested and charged you accordingly. Yes, thank you. It has already been established that this is my own fault.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what small print is intended for :) The thinking is that people don't read the small print enough, and hence can be caught out by annoying but completely honest sales ploys (i.e. needing to cancel a trial account). First time I've encountered this with an online RPG ...
