If your comp aint a laptop, though, you can allways get a read gfx-card. Today, probably any new card from nVidia, even the very dirt-cheapest one, is enough to get Ryzom to run in at least playable format.

It would be really cool with a game without global chats where you instead made sure all the NPCs kept at least minimal watch for who runs past and you could ask them if they have seen someone and if so where they went. And of course you are right that the chat channels were introduced because ...
