Extremes of Ryzom: Favorite vs. hated
I've been playing for a couple months now and have been drawing some pretty strong conclusions about the game, both good and bad (which is normal), that I finally feel I have enough experience to trust. One thing though I haven't done is ask for other opinions so I thought it might be a good idea to ...

Re: PvP, the devil: or (to P or not to P?)
Except furries, everyone looks down on furries. Going way off topic here, but: Ah, come on man, what could possibly be wrong with furries? Some of my favorite characters have been furries - what would life have been like without looney tunes? I remember wanting to be Bugs Bunny when I grew up - he ...

Re: Fun Quiz: How Not to be a Mektoub's Ass During Events
You would have hoped eh? ;) Humour is good for making points, but people do often take it the wrong way. C'est la vie. Yeah, it is funny (in a not so humorous way) that I was proved wrong before I even posted... Guess I should have refreshed before hitting submit. Oh, well. I thought it was funny ...

Re: Fun Quiz: How Not to be a Mektoub's Ass During Events
Grimjim, This is a great way to inject some humor in to a not so humorous topic. I'd love to think this will have some effect on the behavior of a few of the less tolerable participants, but truthfully I know it won't. Still, it gives us that do try not to ruin it for others (whether intentional or ...

Re: Self heal neccesary?
I think that's a great idea, Caitiff, having them on separate timers. With the amount of time it takes for the timers to reset, I cannot think that separating them would give any undo advantage. Instead it would allow us to use them all when we need them, rather than only one (figgybee's pedantic ...

Re: Self heal neccesary?
MMO! (That's right.) Where in the words Massive Multiplayer Online does forced grouping for advancement become self evident? I just don't see it? To me it only means that there are a bunch of people playing in the same world at the same time (and even that is a limiting definition, but nearly not ...

Re: Where can I buy a magic amplifier
To add to the list above: Another thing to keep in mind is the type of weapon/offensive magic you use. For example a piercing weapon might have a different effect than a smashing weapon on one mob even when on another species they deal the same damage (notice the number in parentheses compared to ...

Re: Self heal neccesary?
...you won't ever "need" a team. :P Why does it have to be "need" and not "want"? Just seems limiting to me. Personally I enjoy teaming and soloing equally, depending on my mood, time commitment, and goals for a particular game playing period. Just because there are other real people in the game ...
