Re: Adios...see you in a year
Ever played EQ a few weeks after its initial release ? It was a piece of crap, look at it now. Well thats exactly his reason for leaving for a year. He fully expects the game to improve but doesn't want to spend his money on it waiting for that to happen. I'm sure there were plenty of people that ...

Re: Long Swords vs Long Axes
Didn't see the earlier thread, thanks a lot. Well I'll probably go for sword because I find it more fitting with my character

Long Swords vs Long Axes
Seeing as both of the above weapons deal out slashing damage is there any advantage of one over the other? I want to craft one but don't want to waste the SP on one that may be inferior. Anyone have relative stats of two weapons made with the same mats?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Jewel Crafting Questions
In response to (4), if you have no other preference for which patterns to get first I would say, go for diadem as your first one as that takes the most number of materials and hence gives the most amount of xp per combine thus increasing the rate at which you skill up (assuming you have the cash to ...

Re: Dodge vs. Parry
Err n00b question here: I've seen the dodge messages come up but I've not seen any messages that indicate a parry so how do you know when you did a parry?
And how do you switch from "dodge mode" to "parry mode"? I've not seen any of these modes?

Re: /slash commands and Macros?
Click on the user tab and you can read all of the incoming messages from the various channels you are on. At the bottom there is a button that shows the default channel that you will talk to if you just type. Then to type to a different channel you can prefix your message with one of the following ...

Re: Fighter Pulling
Hmm three very different replies! I dont think the fear trick would work for me as I'm not intending to level magic for anything other than pulling (if I went that way) so I'd need to buy fear as well and from what I remember of the mage I briefly played, it took a lot of sap. I think I must have ...

Fighter Pulling
Hi there, As a fighter, I have been experimenting with ways to pull mobs out of a pack with limited success. At first I bought Acid 1 and used that. That worked pretty well until I started to wear heavy armor and then the range decrease made is rather useless. On another character I tried using ...

Re: Crafting: Best XP for the Dapper
Presumably we'll reach a point where making items upto QL50 (which I think is the highest you can buy from the store) will yeild a small amount of xp? What level would this likely be?

Re: Should they give us a part refund on 1 months subs?
Without patches (and thus server downtime) there would be no bug fixes, balancing, content addition etc. The game would remain in its current state forever. Who wants that with an MMORPG? Patching is part of the game and its ludicrous to expect a partial refund because of it.
