Re: Unbalanced classes
Boy, I have to laugh at the guy that started this thread. I don't play as much as some of the folk on here, and don't have multiple skills at 250. But damn, I would NEVER give up my melee. Generally, if we're into something nasty, I'm the healer. That's my one 250 skill, and I'm told I'm pretty good ...

Re: Lousy community
Mmm. The whole "rotating attack withdrawal" routine is utter crap, yes. Hope for the Kami's sake they're making some alliances, or there's going to be some activity across their OPs, assuming the fix works. I hope it does, as I really dislike exploiters, regardless of the game. As for crystals? Well ...

Re: Ranged Fighting
something that has been mentioned in the past but not on this thread is that auto and launchers are seige weapons - they aren't designed for everyday hunting. Which is true, but one still needs to hunt with them to gain levels past 151. I think this needs to be accounted for somehow. I like the ...

Re: Hand to Hand
Heh. Well, Kashius, I tank great Kinchers in Void in medium, and survive just fine. Generally, the hard-hitting special attacks on the tougher mobs ignore armor anyway, so might as well keep the malus down. 42 beats 138 by a pretty nice margin. The only real disadvantage is that you get more hp off ...

Re: Ranged Fighting
Heh, they do, Walls. And really, they don't hurt that much over time. Consider the attack rate of a launcher (3 seconds per shot at best) and its damage (around 1000 at 150) and compare to, say, 2h melee at the same level. Or nuke. Damage over time is actually not that high. Launcher's sole real ...

Re: Hand to Hand
I'll have to disagree with you, at least about dual daggers. I can't comment on Sprite's statement, as I've not dueled an AoD with 'em. However, nothing else I've found holds aggro like dual daggers. Sword+dagger is right behind it. As you say, not for the same reasons, eh? HtH, on the other hand ...

....And a high level dagger user has something to put in his left hand while there's a sword in his right, because sometimes you need damage more than you need a shield.
