Re: How does SoR compare to Star Wars Galaxies?
I played SWG from its launch to Ryzom's release. Though I cannot fault SWG for its framework, Ryzom's player base and customer service is better by leaps and bounds. SWG's content was non-existent/shoddy compared to what they are supposed to patch into the game in the next month or two. As a former ...

Re: Constant freezes.
Jeez, I just read the thread about AMD processors overheatin with the game. http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3049 Could it get any worse? My poor system is gettin the shaft in this game (AMD & ATI hardware). Its unfortunate that the only workarounds are to roll back the settings to hardware ...

Re: Constant freezes.
Alright, is it possible that the game could cause the card to generate more heat than usual? I've begun to think that my freezing is a heating issue, as it behaves the way a overheating CPU would, and the way it freezes constantly after the first freeze. It's like it heats overtime, which is why I ...

Re: Radeon 9200 Pro 128MB (game freeze)
All of the newer Radeon cards (9500 and higher) were designed *specifically* to be run in DirectX 9 and do no have any problems running Ryzom in DirectX. Heh, oh how I wish that was true. I get freezes without fail with my 9500. OpenGL only lessens the frequency that i get them. It is pretty lame ...

Re: Radeon 9200 Pro 128MB (game freeze once in game)
seems like it. ultimately, the only workaround that worked for me was the OpenGL method, but even that only just keeps it from crashing as frequently.oddie wrote:Or are we stuck until Ryzom comes up with a fix for ATI users since this game is so G-Force friendly?
Re: Teaming?
I suggest that you go to the "Guild" forum on the General page and check out a few of the guild description and contacts there. You may be able to join one of the guilds in it's initial formation phase. Otherwise hang in there a bit until we begin accessing more dangerous (Prime Root) content ...
