Re: Level cap on Starter Island
didnt work for PvP this is vastly different from a pvp rework - this would be an easy change for the devs to make and would not effect the progression of the game or its character - only would make if FAR more likely that new folk would stay to come into the game. Everyone who keeps saying that ...

Re: Level cap on Starter Island
Notice my first comment - I understand the need for a level cap. I believe that 21 is simply too low. You say 21 is enough, but when the levels go quickly, as they do at the start, if you haven't forgotten, that is not much time. One of the things that hooks people is the community. And that takes ...

Level cap on Starter Island
OK, I see the need for a level cap ... ...people staying on the island for months and grinding out up into the 50s in melee and magic on smaller mobs and into the 60s in forage off q45 mats and getting close to 100 in craft using the NPC q50 mats... they need to be encouraged to move to the ML ...

Re: Packers on Newb Island
The Guides/GMS do make it every now and then, but only about 5% of the time that I am there are they also present (I know, because I am constantly doing /who to see who is there and when new folk come on). They welcome and that is about it. They do not really give much practical help in my ...

Re: Public apology to Xavier
I would strongly encourage you to reconsider using a person's entire post history prior to yesterday's announcement as evidence for deciding whether to ban or not. In the context of the forums as they were at the time (very loosely moderated), someone's posts may have been fine and in line with the ...

Re: Packers on Newb Island
PSmurf, You completely missed the point, unfortunately. (for Xavier's sake, that was not a put down or a personal attack, it is the truth as most anyone can see if you read my post then his) But let me try to explain it to you: I am on the mainland and have 3 packers a mount and an apartment and an ...

Packers on Newb Island
That's right, there aren't any. :( It makes sense for the average person there - you don't want them to stay there forever, you want them to look forward to more good stuff on the mainland, etc. BUT... There are a few of us who spend a good bit of time there in order to help new players understand ...

Re: Please Explain This
The exact terms I used in the original "Trolls & flames" thread was "an unspecified amount of time". And, true, it means "permanent". I didn't wanted to only ban for a given amount of time and have to start again the month after. However, I wanted to keep the option of reopening the forum accesses ...
