Laters

Well, I finally gave up... game-altering changes in each patch (along with increasing bugs) have taken away all the fun in the game for me, and I'm not going through another pay cycle. Its been 2 months so far, and I have yet to see a single invasion that was to be a highlight of the game, or any ...

Re: Petition and Letter to Our Friends at Nevrax

/sign Changes should be made in small incremental movements towards where the developers want the game to go. Massive, game-altering changes on a patch-by-patch basis is ruining all enjoyment of this game. It is also causing a fair number of players to leave, which is further lessening the enjoyment ...

BUG - Freeze at EULA screen, UNABLE TO LOGIN!

Every single time I get to the end user liscence agreement screen, once I hit the "accept" button, the launcher program freezes. I have tried restarting my computer, and have run the program numerous times, and each and every time the game launcher freezes the moment I hit the accept button. I am ...

Ranged fighting/craft grinding much better

Mini-patch is awesome... harvesting still gets poor experience (slow leveling) which is fine with me, but you can actually get plenty of mats from it now for grinding or ammo-crafting. With the new rifle clip changes (4 mats for 24 rounds) I can spend a half hour making ammo and have enough for ...

What are ranged fighters supposed to do now?

Ammo crafting was pretty bad before the patch, but this is hands down absurd... It literally takes me over half an hour to craft enough ammo for one *minute* of fighting now, nevermind how much harder the mobs are. Oh, and crafting missions now give ONE TENTH the cash they used to, so its not like I ...

Re: Impressions of Chapter 1 from ATS: of special interest to those who forage.

The major problems with this patch will not be with the harvesters, but rather with number of mats going to crafters. While fighters/harvesters/mages are easily passing level 160 to 170 now (and some harvesters past 220), crafters have been struggling. The best melee weaponsmiths are only about lvl ...

Re: A realistic perspective to keep in mind

Aelvana, clearly you have not tried to level any crafting field past 100 (especially armor or jewelry). Under the current system it takes literally hundreds upon hundreds of man-hours of harvesting mats to boost a full armor set up just 10 quality levels past 100. I would think that a non-guilded ...

Re: Impressions of Chapter 1 from ATS: of special interest to those who forage.

As a part-time ranged fighter, I sure hope they having something planned to boost ammo crafting. As it is, I just mooch of my guild hunting parties to level ranged fighting by just taking one shot with q1 storemat ammo, and getting the easy 3k per mob. If I were to actually be an asset to my party ...

Why doesn't increased damage work on ranged weapons?

There seems to be no explanation for this... rifles have about the same base damage/speed as two-handed melee, why doesn't increased damage work with them?

Aside from serious issues with ammo, why do ranged weapons only have *half* the damage output of an equivalent melee weapon?
