Try what paramore said a couple of posts above. It worked for me.

Okay, here we go. Is there any option (by editing .cfg or something) to change the login and char selection resolution? I play ryzom at 1680x1050 and it's anoying to see how the char screen seems to be at 800x600 at full screen. But then when the game starts to load the resolution changes to ...

I'm in love with the style of the game. I was SOOO tired of seeing always the same in a mmorpg: swords and magic in a medieval world, or such. Thanks god finally someone made something unique and original.
