Re: Problem with sound in Linux
Yeah, yeah, yeah, check sound settings. Blaah blaah blaah... :) I usually pooh-pooh the obvious stuff (make sure it's plugged in, etc.), but that's exactly what it was this time. The ALSA and OSS drivers were both selected, and Ryzom doesn't like ALSA. RUnning it with OSS alone works perfectly ...

Problem with sound in Linux
Ok, I was running Ryzom in Linux for a couple of weeks (I'm a noob) and everything was fine, but then all of a sudden the sound went south on me. It still plays, but it's all crackly and distorted. I'm not sure what, if anything, changed to make this happen, and no other program or game--even ...

Re: Before trying Ryzom, do these 2 steps
Going to the mainland at level 20 is likely to be an exercise in frustration that will turn new players off faster than Rosie O'Donnell in a bodysuit. Not being able to venture farther than 20 feet outside of town isn't exactly going to give anyone a taste for what's out there. I think Silan is an ...

Re: Where is Ryzom Headed?
To start with, we bought the game because we love Ryzom dearly and strongly believe that it has what it takes to "make it" and become what we all dream it can be. Before we start "dreaming" and putting those dreams into practice, we need to stabilise the game and rectify some of the issues that ...

Re: Group looting, how does it work?
Thanks! Yeah, I found the macros window this morning by accident, but due to the OP war, I didn't get a chance to check it out. I'll do that tomorrow.
Good to finally see you ingame!

Re: Group looting, how does it work?
Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to create macros? Or could someone explain it briefly here?

Re: [UNOFFICIAL] Rystore - Ryzom launch pad and configuration backup / restore
Can you write a Linux version of Rystore? Wine doesn't emulate the .NET framework, I can't get authentic Microsoft .NET to install in Linux, and it's still up in the air whether I'm going to be able to get Mono loaded in order to defeat the problem that way. A Linux version would be sooooo much ...

Re: Group looting, how does it work?
It's a gaelic word, it has a couple of meanings, Raven or Hunting :) Ah, I should have known. I was giving it the teenage American pronunciation, which makes it rhyme with bee-yotch. :D Ive helped quite a few ppl find that hiding Ocx. the few that are easy to get to are at the top of the blight ...
