Re: Return of Rhaenaan
...and so she returns again with hope for the future and trepidation at what will have become of her once proud guild. <sigh> I wonder what ghosts roam the halls of EoA and if any have kept her flames alight. I fear no creature of Atys, but I find myself trembling at the thought of a return to Fyros.

Re: Play Ryzom for free one month more
'Niss...I knew that I liked you! :) I couldn't agree more. I do love this game and the community that evolved with it. But the community is now so small and widely dispersed (within the game), that it's difficult to even think of as a community anymore. The content is stale and so many people are ...

Re: Windows positions/GUI config won't save
Another "non-intuitive" one. I've determined that it's not a saving issue. It just looks like one. When I force DirectX mode, everything comes back the way that it was when I exited. (regardless of the resolution used) When I use OpenGL in 1680x1050 mode, it moves all of the windows around to fit ...

Windows positions/GUI config won't save
Ryzom isn't saving my config changes. Every time I startup, I'm back at square one with window positions, fonts, in-scene settings, etc. I don't get any errors or crashes on shutdown and there don't seem to be any permissions issue on the files. I know that I had this problem many years ago, but can ...

Re: Random crashes - Any suggestions?
http://www.memtest86.com/ could be a good way to go also edit: sorry, didnt see that you had replaced memory No worries. It was a good suggestion and one that I tried before swapping memory. It all came up clean. However, one thing that I've found is that memtest will identify actual bad memory ...

Re: Random crashes - Any suggestions?
Well...in the "totally non-intuitive" department, it appears to be an issue with my IDE hardware or drivers. I did try running Ryzom from the second physical drive and from the primary and there wasn't a difference. However, I decided to upgrade to a new SATA drive, since I was going to reinstall ...

Re: Random crashes - Any suggestions?
Yup. Went back about 18 months and no difference. I've found the problem which I'll post below.eriu3 wrote:have you tried using older driver versions?

Random crashes - Any suggestions?
I'm getting a variety of Failed Assertion messages and crashes. Mostly around block_memory.h, but it does vary. Windows XP SP3 Athlon X2 5000+ 4GB RAM (tried with 2GB as well) 9600 GSO video nForce 430 motherboard (started with onboard sound and now using X-Fi Gamer Xtreme card) Temperatures and ...

Re: Ryzom Development Plans
<sigh> I'm bored with WoW, just finished Spore last night (found Sol and got the last of my badges) and thought that I had my life back.
Curse you all!
I can't wait to pound sand in Fyros again!

Re: love and war
If you have to ask that question, you appear to have a lower ego than most imagined (joke). Even big egos need to be stroked once in awhile. <huggers sunce!> :) I would like to see neither side dominate the server again, I came back because kami were down, I was happy when it was balanced just ...
