I get the same problem, among many others.
I tried the fix, and vista won't let me make changes to the cfg file. It says permission to modify denied.

tried that and the fixer, now I'm getting new errors. Looks like a fresh reinstall yet again is the solution. Sighhh.

Is it down now?
I'm getting the error again. It's attempting to patch, patch fails, no reason why. I'm not uninstalling and reinstalling again until I know of a way to check server status.

Was it down last night? I tried logging in, and got a patch failure. Even after I knew it was back up, I got more failures ( of the type not listed in the tech forum). So I deleted and reinstalled. I also logged in using my son's laptop and couldn't connect, but it was a different failure. The box ...
