Also, if your using vista, this can occur if you installed to the default location.

If you have this problem under vista, ensure you run as administrator to finish the patching process. Right click on your shortcut, or on client_ryzom_rd.exe and "run as administrator".

As you are having crashes due to multiple different issues, I'd suggest this may be a RAM issue, or some other system hardware failure. First thing to try, is to use the repair option on the downloader, located in your Ryzom shortcuts group. If that fails, then you might consider running a ram test ...
