The website is not broken, I really meant the dynamic nature of the site. Like users being able to post guild details, user posted news etc.. etc.. Those were good features of the site and shouldn't be left untouched I think. Again I maybe worded it wrong sorry :) And, as for the "buggy Game"... Yes ...

Recently there were some heavy problems with the patches and even more so the patch downloader. I'm sure the GF team is trying to fix things on their end... but not really sure if they will fix the broken (sometimes) patch downloader. Ok ran Ryzom recovery - still its the same. It logs in then error. I just may have to re-download the whole thing... eh?

*sigh* my isp charges by the MB I download and it cost me 160$+ the first time around... guess I'll try again.

Well I just finished patching and the moment I try to login the check fails. Even though the problem is not at all the same i tried the fix for the "xxxx bytes" error message. But obviously that was not the answer. Well any way to fix this then downloading everything over again? thanks in advance :)
