Well it works in "PvP" - the "aim humanoid head" stanza certainly seemed to work during the nekkid boxing........kibsword wrote:I have never found the target certain body parts stanzas are worth the cost tbh, but thats just me![]()

Re: Not impressed...
Problems are though 1) Game doesnt start in full screen... updating my drivers but doesnt seam justified. I have to change the refresh rate in game to brute force it into full screen mode. A permament fix for this: Go into Configure Ryzom (from the start menu) Click on "Display" Under "Driver ...

Re: Patching problem "ForceBnpUnpacking-bad checksum" inside client.
Well patch 31 cleared the problem for me, after I'd managed to convince myself it was my PC having problems! Actually, I think it was down to my PC (or rather the twisted way Windows works sometimes). I guess the devs must have added a small piece of code that other developers (*cough* SOE *cough ...

Re: Patching problem "ForceBnpUnpacking-bad checksum" inside client.
I get this too, then Ryzom brings up a patch window ( with no patches ) Followed by a Windows "window" showing a runtime error. Any advice would be appreciated. I have this too - and it's on a "virgin" SoR install since my "D" drive died and I had to re-install :( Help!

Re: Yet another view of the game from a new player after the trial period
Not to disrespect any of the existing guilds - they are full of really nice folk - but they have a lot of members of high levels that dont get much out of spending time with a load of newbs - in game i mean - the social aspect would be their reward. Actually one of the really nice features of Ryzom ...

Re: Version 26 Stealth changes
Another change I noticed today: Frippo sap-draining power now works! You know that green glow Frippos give off occasionally when you fight them? Well that is a sap attack that will drain oodles of sap from you (more than the 750 sap I have). This wasn't working prior to the patch, which made Frippos ...

Re: The Kami and Karavan are calling you!
Note for all those lowish level people who've never experienced a raid before and are afarid of being "useless": Event mobs tend to be high damage/low hp types, and lots of them! Even a low level spell or weapon strike will kill one so at worst you'll be able to "mop up" at the fringes, even if you ...

Re: Ranged weapons
Quick couple of additions in support of usinuk's excellent post: Autolaunchers are a "spray" effect weapon with a cone of effect, rather like a machine gun, but a long pause between each "burst". Launchers are rocket launchers with a "bomb" radius of effect around the point of impact. Both have ...

Re: Is this game supposed to crash every 30 minutes?
My computer is similarish to yours and here are a few things that will make Ryzom crash for me (note: normally I don't get any crashes at all!): 1.) Some other games and applications load dll's that seem to destroy ryzom's ability to run (i.e. Planetside). Only thing that seems to clear it is reboot ...

Re: prime root harvester
I think the big problem here is that a great many people feel that PvP should be optional in these types of games (including me). Various reasons for that, from my own perspective I feel that PvP in level based games tends to be ruled by combat templates and is a natural magnet for the less savoury ...
