Re: Idea for a PvP based content addition.
It's a nice idea. LOTRO's monster-play comes to mind. The new race could actually be some type of kitin. If I know anything about Ryzom's community it is that the majority dislikes all forms of forced PVP. I don't think getting flagged for using cats or digging in PR is a good idea. I understand ...

Help! I bought a Radeon card
Hello I've updated my graphics card from Nvidia 8600 GT to a Radeon 4770. All games have got a performance boost from the new card - except Ryzom. It may very well be that I am pretty clueless how to configure the card, or that Ryzom doesn't like Radeon. OpenGL looks ugly, ie water is a mess, the ...

Re: Who is playing Ryzom on a notebook / laptop ?
My laptop: Intel Core Duo Processor T2300 @ 1,66 GHz NVIDIA® GeForce Go 7400 2gb RAM I can't play on high settings but it looks good enough. I think anything with a Nvidia card works (never owned an Ati). The most problematic thing is that my wonky WIFI keeps disconnecting me, but I don't think I ...

Ulani was at the sand... sawdust town's eastern gate, talking with one of the Zessen's (big family!) about the melee crafting rites.

Re: [FAQ] Ryzom in Linux (Reloaded)
I have a question about the startup script in the first post. The line "nice -n 19 wine $GameExeFile;" means that the game is started with very low priority, doesn't it? I would have expected the opposite. Said that, it works great and Ryzom works better than ever under Linux/Wine now. I even tried ...

Re: So, is Nevrax back?
We can continue speculate about the new owner and why they remain in the shadows, I don't think it hurt anyone. My take on the secrecy is that they have a PR plan and will try to make some headlines when it's time for the official relaunch. I expect lotsa hype soon!

Re: Is it really that awsome?
for the replies, It's gonna be awsome, just another thing.. is there any mounts? or any way to travel around fast? Yup, there are both mounts (Mektoubs) and a teleport system. But what really makes the game awesome is travelling to other countries; you can get around the world at level 1 with just a ...
