Well too bad I wasn't here, but I was celebrating my birthday ...Hallowe'en somewhere else. Only got back here recently..missed both Hallowe'en and the Christmas stuff it seems. lol
Yay problem solved, see technical forum first thread for all that I went thru to reinstall Ryzom. ROFL..and in the end it was something unexpected, decided to delete all the files in the unpack folder and Voila!! It works..I am hearing Ryzom's lovely music as I type this message. :) See you ingame ...
hmmm... why read-only ? even the one installed to Desktop ? btw, stop downloading as you already have the installer and stop trying to find solution for .ttf file in microsoft page. ryzom patcher fails (because ryzom folder is read-only probably). for support, http://www.ryzom.com/en/support.html ...
Sorry Sherk, looks like I might not be able to get ingame after all, after multiple installs, uninstalls, to different areas of my computer, I keep getting the error: cannot find path to ryzom .ttf ttf being a true type font, its there in the unpack folder its just not unpacking to the font folder ...
The strange part is..I have looked in the folder and the ryzom .ttf file is there...its just not seeing it. Will try your suggestion thanks. It seems it does not find the True Type Fonts of Ryzom. What OS do you use? On Vista several complained using the default path into the c:\Program...\ Try to install then on a different Path/Partition of your hard drive instead. I don't use Vista..have refused to use Vista, I use good ol Win Xp ...
Getting message: "path not found for ryzom.ttf" no clue what this means. Launcher starts up (I patched by the way) and then poof it gives me this message and either sends me here to this thread or wants me to exit. Did a search for .ttf, it stands for True Type font, had a look in the ryzom files ...
