Re: So, has the game REALLY changed in last 3 years?

I think calling others "clueless, shallow consumers" is a step too far. They don't like some things about Ryzom? That's ok. There's a line between fan and fanatic, which is drawn by your reaction when someone critisizes that which you love. A fan says: "Oh, well, that's a pity, I really love it ...

Re: The Atysian Subscription

Ok, it seems that new players cannot post, nor vote in polls. This makes the financial debate utterly worthless - although I don't think it invalidates the general feeling that currently there are not enough players to sustain Ryzom long-term. My posts in this thread have come off rather negative ...

Re: The Atysian Subscription

Firstly, every indication I've found is that winch gate is just an investor. I don't know why everyone decided to call the owners winch gate just cause the domain was registered by wg. Calling them wg just confuses things. Erm, read the EULA, perhaps? It makes it pretty explicit that the game is ...

Re: The Atysian Subscription

Ah, I didn't realise the other servers had their own polls - but still... although that's slightly better news - assuming only one in three subscribers vote, then they end up making somewhere between 60-90K per annum... which is still not enough. Sorry, but I don't think it's even remotely possible ...

Re: The Atysian Subscription

Farewell Ryzom. Perhaps investment from one of the big companies (Sony, EA, etc) could have saved you - but it's unfortunately clearer and clearer that your days are numbered now. SW, WG and so forth are sadly nothing better than what we had before, and this time we have run out of lives. Perhaps ...

Re: Yay KP is back \o/

As for sups, you either give them to whoever is prepared to sit for hours in the middle of the night by a spot waiting for weather (old style) or give them to a team (or two teams) of people that fight their way through to get there first (current style). Personally I think the latter sounds more ...

Re: Yay KP is back \o/

actually I was thinking that too In the interest of staying positive I'm not going to go on about it, but really patch notes should include all significant changes, ideally every change.

Re: Yay KP is back \o/

this is fantastic news!

Of course now my chances of ever mastering PR are now far lower than they have been.

I do think that 100m range sounds a bit insane however. especially if they dn't need LoS.

That was funny :) Thanks for that.

Still would be nice to know why the domain is registered in the name of a chef, on top of the above...
