It would appear that the servers are down at present. I would suggest leaving it for a while, and then try logging in again later.
If they have had to do a major re-boot then it could take up to an hour, before the shards are available.

My account is ok, my server is ok, everything is ok, but I still can´t get into the game for same reason. Looks like it may well be a server update, as the problem is also present on the US server according to technical posts by the US guy's. Maybe I feel a little better knowing it is not just me that can't get passed the "Connecting" screen... Fingers crossed the guy's will get things going again soon ...
