You can't expect them to discuss every suggestion and hand out false promises on a 48 page long thread. If they said they will read it, they will read it.

Re: Thoughts about the game.

Everyone knows this is a WoW knockoff. Just look at some of the mechanics. You earn xp in ryzom (Just like in wow!), you get to name your character (wow again!), and there are swords and magic and stuff (yup, wow!)

Blizzard should sue imo.

Re: Forums: What Bugs You The Most? (by Xavier Antoviaque)

Moving on.. I've been playing with my circular attack the past few days, and the criteria for what it hits seems a bit.. odd. There might be a reasoning behind the "can only hit stuff that's attacking you", but honestly I don't see it. If my group gets an add, I don't see what would be wrong with me ...

Re: Forums: What Bugs You The Most? (by Xavier Antoviaque)

I was against having separate cooldowns initially, but now that I got invulnerability and warcry, I must say I'm starting to change my mind. War cry just isn't really an "incredibly powerful, but short lasting skill" like invulnerability. I took it because I figured "hey, I can just spam it. +30 ...

Re: Forums: What Bugs You The Most? (by Xavier Antoviaque)

I would be hugely disappointed if they added jumping. I've never ever seen an rpg that had a jump that looked good. I remember when I first played oblivion, the graphics were just so immersive, the grass waved, the wildlife was all around me, then I pressed jump and couldn't help but think "boing ...

Re: How can i learn what i get when i pay for the game?

I'm only a recent subscriber myself but I thought I'd emphasize on the level thing. In the trial you can only get to 21 in the "base" trees. After 21 you can branch out to more specialized trees. This keeps branching every few levels all the way to 250 where you will end up specializing in a single ...

Re: How come..

I find that a lot of games fall subject to this. It will forever remain a mystery to me why Fifa soccer and the sims are such amazing successes, while games like beyond good & evil and gunvalkyrie gets brushed under the rug. Gunvalkyrie might be a somewhat of a niché game, but some of it's reviews ...

Seconded. It's also one of the stanza that just get flat out better without any drawbacks as you upgrade it. I get +35 free credits whenever I parry now. I love it.

Re: Dodge vs. Parry

A lot of weapons have dodge/parry modifiers to your target. My pike gives my enemy a bonus to dodge, but penalty to parry. It seems that someone wearing heavy armor and have a low dodge/high parry, would be better off actually trying to dodge my pike. Do mobs have these negative modifiers as well ...

Re: Yay im on the mainland! Now what?

I always end up setting up long and short term goals in mmo's which keeps me busy. My long term goal in ryzom is to earn our guild an apartment, since we're just 3-4 guys playing, it's no simple task but should be doable. Short term goals are to get myself a mektoub mount, improve my ammo crafting ...
