Just chiming in with my 2 cents in disagreeing with the OP. I just started the game too, (Well, actually, started again, tried the trial a year or so ago and now trying it with the 15 day reactivation thing.) and I think that this game has one of the better starting areas of the mmorpgs I've tried ...
