Re: Opinions on Changes in Free Trial
but unless things change or i magically find enough free time to make it worth paying $15 a month, i probably wont be playing ryzom again. This post as well as the Goodbye Cruel World post from Invincible Jay (or whatever the name is) pretty much sums up why they have to do this. Too many people ...

Re: Ryzom moves on - so will I, Goodbye all.
I agree-if you want to help, then help. You don't need to be level 50 or 60 or whatever to answer questions, show people around, etc. It costs money to provide the free trial, and the more people that begin to just hang out for free without ever going to the mainland, the more of a money sink it ...

Re: Can we play too ?
I see your point. I could argue that leveling in Ryzom by killing things is not required, since you could potentially be a crafter or harvester for your entire life here, whereas in WoW there really is no point in leveling only your crafting skill since you won't be able to make most of the high end ...

Re: Can we play too ?
EQ2's missions, zones, number of races,, graphic detail with Ryzoms setting? Where do I sign up? Seriously. I often wonder if the people who talk about how bad EQ2 and WoW have actually played the games. I played WoW for almost a year. There were only 4 races per side, 8 total with very little ...

Re: New player experience is frustrating...
I'm also finding that odd. I just left the newbie island about 2-3 weeks ago and had a great time there. It's one of the best tutorials to a game I've ever experienced-and I've also played WoW, SWG, EVE, etc. The community when I was there was great and my questions were always answered. This was on ...

Re: What Ryzom has to offer...
I thought WOW you do these quest and some were hard you get really nice stuff. Then I found its was only there. And please dont compaire this to other online games. Putting aside any other comments on the game, I find it odd that you compare Ryzom to WoW (in a manner that implies you prefer the WoW ...

Re: Noob Question here
I would very strongly recommend doing all the quests on the island. You will get some decent light armor and a pretty good sword out of it, not to mention a very good understanding of how things work. And the xp rewards from the missions will level you up pretty quickly. You should be able to reach ...

Re: Paid Account
Can't believe no one mentioned it, but if you're a crafter/harvester type, there are quite a few skills that you can't get from the trainers in RoS. Harvesting got much easier for me once I hit the mainland.
