And i need some help with the skill system as i don't understand it at all

So far i only tried the trial and really liked it so far. Time to cancel my 2 swg accounts and enter the world of Ryzom.

I searched forums and played the trial. But i still don't know how the skill system works. I trained some (like stenght lvl 1 and 2 i think) and fought hordes of creatures. I want to be a pure fighter, preferably ranged as i like bows. Is there a guide how i can distribute all my skill points? Is ...
