Re: Hello (and sort of apology)
Ruins of Silan is probably the best MMO trial I've tried - just bear in mind that the mainland is not so quest-driven. (Its very cool though, especialy when you have some good people to hang out with.) At first, Ryzom can be quite confusing as lots of oddly-named things present themselves to you ...

Looking for a home
Greetings. My companion Mykkael and I are looking for a guild. We're both incredibly dashing Fyros males and currently based in Pyr, having not been on the mainland very long. Of an evening, you'll probably find us at the Oasis laying waste to the local Clopper and Arma populations. We are both ...

Re: Ryzom forums v Eve Online forums, for the rest of us that play(ed) some Eve as we
So PvP death on EVE really, really hurts? I bet that does cause some bitterness! Hmmm ;) It all depends what ship & equipment you use. If you get blown up, you lose the ship and most of its fittings will be destroyed. You can insure a ship but not always for its full value. Since the ships range ...

Re: Ryzom forums v Eve Online forums, for the rest of us that play(ed) some Eve as we
I suppose Eve has far more of an emphasis on moral freedom whereas Ryzom is made more with creative freedom in mind. Eve's a harsher game altogether. Apart from things that are clearly exploits and/or exceptionally unfair, you are pretty much free to do what you please to other players. Scamming is ...

Re: When should I go to the main land?
Thanks for the answers folks. Two quite different answers there. I'm guessing Ajsuk's answer is if I want to try to sneak there and hide from stuff/try not to die, whereas Kiexa's is if I want to make a fun trip of it with some frends and actually kill stuff along the way.... I guess I'll just go ...

Re: When should I go to the main land?
Slightly off-topic but, if I go to the mainland with a friend who's a different race, what sort of level would you need to be strong enough to trek to meet them? Is it a very long journey?
Also, does it matter if you live in a different place to where your race lives?
Thanks

Re: Ryzom Ring Preview Impressions Article
New player here, will be subscribing soon. I've read a bit about R2 but I had a few questions: > What exactly is a 'scenario'? Is it like a mission? Or a dungeon? Or what? :) > Are the scenarios you create instanced or part of the main world? > Can anyone make one? > Allowing players to create their ...
