Re: Is there _ANY_ self benefit from being a 250 healer?
Good job assuming I want a game just like WoW. WoW's endgame is raiding - I don't have 6 hours a night now to raid so there is no way for me to advance. This game, on the other hand, seems to have some major flaws in it. Death penalty is harsh because sometimes you can't avoid death (a mob that ...

Re: Is there _ANY_ self benefit from being a 250 healer?
It doesn't seem odd to you that the best tank is a healer? Shouldn't the best tank be an actual tank in heavy armor and prowess with a blade and shield for parrying and absorbing damage? No, because a warrior with heavy armor can be killed with spells. And I didn't "tank" for my group in PvP, I ...

Re: Is there _ANY_ self benefit from being a 250 healer?
In WoW, I had a 60 (max) priest with full epic equipment. A healer. I could heal myself to become the _BEST_ tank in PvP, and my playstyle is being highly defensive using self heals to keep myself alive through anything. I guess Ryzom isn't for me, I'm not into leveling all the way to 250 for no ...

Re: Is there _ANY_ self benefit from being a 250 healer?
HP balance to let your team mates know that you had low hp :p One doesn't really go healer to give themselves a whole bunch of abilites they can cast on themselves. They do it to better the people they play with and allow them to stay alive. A doctor doesn't perform surgery on himself. He does it ...

Re: Is there _ANY_ self benefit from being a 250 healer?
So asides from being popular there is nothing for you when you solo? sounds like a flaw in game design to me.

Is there _ANY_ self benefit from being a 250 healer?
Well, I think it is a major flaw in game design that healers cannot heal themselves. What's the point of someone getting to 250 healing if he can't heal himself? (Self heal is available to everyone...).
Is there any special SELF benefit in being a 250 healer?

Quick question: Numbers of active players?
How many active players are there (On the International English community)? If there is no exact number, is it around 1000? 5000? 15000 ? 50k? 150k? any estimates? Just asking because I wouldn't want to start playing a game that has a very small population. How many people are online in peak times ...
